NØMAD Coffee
Coffee culture is upcoming in Barcelona and Nømad coffee is just the place to get a perfectly selected, blended, roasted cup!
Knowing even in the most no nonsens Spanish bar you get a fair cup of cafe con leche, it may have taken a while for the citizens of Barcelona got to appreciate the coffee culture that was happening all over the world. As a coffee lover, I am happy the trend made it to town.
Many of my favourite places serve coffee made from the beans selected by the Nømad boys. Time to go straight to the source!
In a small space in a beautiful passage in the El Born neighbourhood, Nømad serves coffee during the weekdays. I instantly loved the place; it is all about the coffee here, without being pretentious. A down to earth small bar to have a cuppa – made with love. Nothing more, nothing less, so don’t expect to have lunch here. It is really all about the coffee.
However, if you are as passionate about the right beans as they are; it also hosts a little shop. So you can bring home their selection of coffee beans or even buy accessories to optimalize your home made cup of coffee.
The staff of Nomad select new beans every few months. They do a blind tasting and simply choose the ones they like. If you go for a straight cup, you get to choose between the several beans they have available that month. You go for a latte, then no fuzzing is allowed; they know which beans are best for your cup! In the small bar it is always buzzing with people and there’s a great vibe going on and the baristas are happy to explain you more about their selection. And if they infected you with their enthusiasm for the hot stuff? Check out their web page as they even organise workshops every now and then!
So if you appreciate a good coffee like me, this is the perfect place to get – as they say themselves – a bloody good coffee!
